Sigma SD15

The firmware update v 1.1 adds new options to the Quick Set menu, increase the quality of LCD monitors and eliminates the noise associated with certain functions. It is not used on previous models of the SD series. Sigma has released a firmware aggiornamneto for SD15 camera – 14 Megapixel Foveon sensor – Version 10.1.

The update occurs on several functions: it improves the viewing quality of the LCD monitor (in our memory, is the first time that a firmware update takes a step like that), adds new parameters to the context menu (Quick Set) displayed by pressing the key a second time next to ISO, AF mode, Flash mode and measurement mode, add white balance, color mode, image size and quality.

Finally, in the camera‘s setup menu (setup), it becomes possible to eliminate the electrical noise associated with two functions: mirror lock and raised the self-timer. The update can only be used on the SD15 (not the previous models, SD9, SD10 and SD14), and as usual, requires that the process is not interrupted and then, using a fully charged battery or AC power adapter, do not open the battery compartment battery, or operate any controls, do not turn off the camera.
